The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of products. This role includes managing warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring workplace safety, and optimizing operational procedures to meet company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping of goods in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Ensure accurate inventory control and participate in regular cycle counts and stock audits.
- Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and other departments to support supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor equipment usage and coordinate maintenance or repairs as necessary.
- Analyze productivity data and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare and submit reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift heavy items and operate forklifts or other machinery (certification may be required).
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse or distribution center.
- May involve standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment for extended periods.
- Work hours may include evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.
