Steel Electors/Installers are skilled tradespeople responsible for the precise placement, alignment, and secure fastening of steel components in construction projects. Their work is critical in the fabrication and erection of steel frameworks for buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the location and installation methods for steel elements.
  • Accurately position steel beams, columns, and other structural members using hoisting equipment, levels, and alignment tools.
  • Assemble and secure steel components by bolting, welding, or riveting according to project requirements and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with crane operators, riggers, welders, and other construction personnel to ensure safe and efficient steel erection.
  • Inspect installed steelwork for proper alignment, stability, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment on construction sites.
  • Maintain tools and equipment used in steel erection to ensure optimal performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
