Employment Information

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and customer specifications. This includes inspecting materials, components, and finished goods; documenting inspection results; identifying defects; and ensuring corrective actions are taken.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
  • Report non-conformities and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct visual and mechanical tests as required.
  • Assist in audits, both internal and external, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical diploma or degree preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality control or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or GMP (depending on industry).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, QC software, ERP systems).
