Mechanical Fitter/ Technician - Boiler

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter / Technician specialized in boilers to join our maintenance and operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing boiler systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and commission boiler equipment and related mechanical components.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers, burners, and associated systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs on boiler systems, including pressure vessels, pumps, valves, and piping.
• Perform troubleshooting to identify issues such as leaks, corrosion, or mechanical failures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize boiler performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used.
• Assist with emergency repairs and shutdown activities as required.
• Use hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Technician in boiler maintenance or industrial mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of boiler operations, thermodynamics, and pressure vessel technology.
• Skilled in reading mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Competent in the use of mechanical tools, welding, and fabrication.
• Ability to work under pressure and in confined spaces.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to boiler operation.
• Relevant certification or apprenticeship in mechanical fitting, boiler making, or a related trade is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
