Sector is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of all piping work, including fabrication, installation, testing, and documentation. This includes inspecting welds, materials, fittings, supports, and ensuring adherence to applicable codes and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Monitoring:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of piping systems (fit-up, welding, hydrostatic testing, etc.)
- Verify piping materials and ensure they conform to project specifications and material traceability requirements.
- Monitor welding activities, including welder qualifications and welding procedures (WPS/PQR).
- Perform line checking and punch listing for pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, welding logs, test records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Review and ensure the completion of quality dossiers and handover packages.
- Ensure proper documentation of test certificates, welding maps, and isometric drawings.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards
- Participate in internal and external audits, including client and third-party inspections.
- Coordination:
- Work closely with project engineers, construction teams, contractors, and clients.
- Provide guidance and corrective actions on quality-related issues.
- Interface with QA/QC engineers and the Quality Manager on status and issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certifications such as:
- CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS-CWI (for welding inspection).
- NDT Level II (RT, UT, PT, MT) preferred.

- Familiarity with isometric drawings, P&IDs, and material specifications.
- Proficient in report writing and quality documentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
