We are seeking an experienced Piling/Drilling Crane Operator to operate heavy-duty cranes and piling rigs for foundation and ground engineering works. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating specialized equipment used for pile driving, bored piling, or rotary drilling for deep foundations in civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate piling and drilling rigs, such as crawler cranes with leaders, rotary bored pile rigs, or hydraulic piling machines.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and ensure machinery is safe and in good working condition.
- Accurately position and drive piles into the ground using vibratory, impact, or drilling methods as per engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and work orders to determine equipment requirements and piling locations.
- Coordinate with ground crew, riggers, and supervisors to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Monitor and adjust equipment operation to accommodate changing ground conditions or project requirements.
- Maintain logs of operations, equipment use, and maintenance.
- Adhere to site safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Valid heavy equipment operator’s license or crane certification
- Minimum [X] years of experience operating piling or drilling equipment in construction environments.
- Familiarity with different piling techniques (bored, driven, CFA, micro-piling, etc.).
- Ability to work in physically demanding and outdoor environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of geotechnical and foundation engineering practices.
- Experience with GPS and machine control systems.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor construction sites, varying weather conditions.
- May require travel to different job locations.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
