Mechanical Fitter /Technician -Valve

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter / Technician with specialization in industrial valves. The role involves the maintenance, inspection, assembly, disassembly, testing, and repair of various types of valves including ball, gate, globe, check, control, and safety relief valves used in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble a variety of industrial valves (manual and automated).
• Perform in-line maintenance and shop repairs on valves and related equipment.
• Diagnose faults and determine corrective actions, including replacing worn or damaged parts.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, datasheets, and technical manuals.
• Conduct pressure testing and leak testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic) of valves.
• Maintain detailed service records and job reports.
• Operate tools such as torque wrenches, grinders, and lapping equipment.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards.
• Liaise with supervisors and engineers on complex issues and improvement suggestions.
• Support inventory management by identifying required spares or consumables.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Technician, with a focus on valve servicing.
• Technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with various valve types (ball, gate, globe, control, safety, etc.).
• Knowledge of API, ANSI, and ASME standards related to valve maintenance.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Understanding of workshop safety practices and PPE use.
• Physical fitness to handle heavy equipment and work in various environments.
• Willingness to travel or work in field-based roles if required.
