Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation and control devices used in various industrial processes. These devices monitor and control machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, calibrate, and maintain instruments such as sensors, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, and related control devices.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning instruments and control systems promptly.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and operators to optimize process control.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, calibrations, and instrument configurations.
- Assist in commissioning new instrumentation and automation systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and automation technology.
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Skilled in calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.
- Familiarity with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma preferred.
