The Fuel Distribution System Operator is responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling the distribution of fuel within a facility or network. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of fuel supply systems, including pipelines, storage tanks, and dispensing units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and control fuel distribution systems to maintain continuous and safe fuel supply.
  • Monitor system parameters such as pressure, flow rates, and storage levels using control room equipment and SCADA systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on fuel pumps, valves, pipelines, and storage tanks.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, system faults, or emergencies to prevent accidents or fuel loss.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel distribution, consumption, and system performance.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and other departments for system repairs and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Assist in fuel inventory management and reporting.
  • Provide operational support during fuel deliveries and transfers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanical or industrial operations preferred.
  • Experience in fuel handling, distribution systems, or related fields is an asset.
  • Familiarity with control systems (SCADA), safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
