The Fuel Distribution System Operator is responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling the distribution of fuel within a facility or network. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of fuel supply systems, including pipelines, storage tanks, and dispensing units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and control fuel distribution systems to maintain continuous and safe fuel supply.
- Monitor system parameters such as pressure, flow rates, and storage levels using control room equipment and SCADA systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on fuel pumps, valves, pipelines, and storage tanks.
- Respond promptly to alarms, system faults, or emergencies to prevent accidents or fuel loss.
- Maintain accurate records of fuel distribution, consumption, and system performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and other departments for system repairs and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Assist in fuel inventory management and reporting.
- Provide operational support during fuel deliveries and transfers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanical or industrial operations preferred.
- Experience in fuel handling, distribution systems, or related fields is an asset.
- Familiarity with control systems (SCADA), safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
