We are seeking a skilled ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Access Control Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot access control systems, CCTV, intercom, and other ELV systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with access control hardware and software, as well as a solid understanding of network infrastructure and electronic security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test access control systems, including biometric readers, RFID card readers, maglocks, strikes, and turnstiles.
- Install and maintain other ELV systems such as CCTV, intercom, intrusion detection, and public address systems.
- Perform system upgrades, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to ensure optimal performance.
- Terminate and test cables including CAT6, coaxial, and fiber optics for ELV systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients during system design and implementation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Maintain documentation of installations, maintenance records, and service reports.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/ITI in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Proven experience in ELV systems installation, especially access control.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, low-voltage electrical wiring, and system integration.
- Familiarity with major access control brands (e.g., HID, Honeywell, Lenel, Bosch, etc.).
- Ability to use hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites.
