Employment Information

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of electricians and electrical technicians to ensure the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards. This role involves both hands-on technical work and administrative duties, including scheduling, reporting, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the electrical team on-site.
  • Plan, schedule, and assign work to ensure timely project completion.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, adhering to company and regulatory safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, and inventory.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with project engineers, contractors, and other departments.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior electricians and apprentices.
  • Monitor use of materials and equipment to reduce waste and control costs.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Licensed/Certified Electrician (as per local regulations).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical installation or maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEC), and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing tools and equipment.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS).
