Draftsman HVAC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Draftsman to join our engineering team. The HVAC Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical drawings and layouts for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems based on engineering specifications and design requirements. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of HVAC systems and experience using CAD software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate HVAC layout drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.
• Review project specifications, tender documents, and MEP drawings.
• Collaborate with HVAC engineers, architects, and other MEP disciplines for design coordination.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing logs.
• Assist in the preparation of bills of quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs (MTO).

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Drafting, HVAC Design, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in HVAC drafting within the MEP industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting, piping, and controls.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and local building codes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (optional):

• Experience with BIM workflows and 3D modeling.
• Previous experience on large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
