Job Summary:
A Civil Technician provides technical support in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, and other infrastructure. They assist in preparing drawings, surveying sites, conducting tests, and ensuring that construction meets design specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist civil engineers in design and layout of civil works using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Perform site surveys and collect field data for design and construction.
- Prepare technical drawings, blueprints, and documentation for approval.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Conduct material testing and soil analysis in laboratories or on-site.
- Maintain project records, including reports, maps, and permits.
- Liaise with contractors, surveyors, and government authorities when needed.
