Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chinese Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing authentic Chinese cuisine, including various regional styles such as Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, or Northern Chinese dishes. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking meals according to recipes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food quality and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, soups, dim sum, noodles, and rice-based dishes.
- Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet high-quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Adjust recipes and ingredients to accommodate dietary restrictions or customer requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and follow the Head Chef’s instructions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chinese Cook or similar role in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
- In-depth knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for food quality and presentation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
