Job Title: Site Engineer - Civil
Job Summary:
The Site Engineer - Civil is responsible for overseeing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role involves coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to manage resources efficiently and ensure timely completion of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision: Monitor day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials and workmanship to guarantee adherence to quality standards and project requirements.
- Project Coordination: Liaise with architects, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to resolve issues and coordinate workflows.
- Resource Management: Track and manage labour, materials, and equipment on-site to optimize productivity.
- Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, including work completed, materials used, and site issues.
- Health & Safety: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all activities comply with site safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address any technical or logistical problems that arise during construction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, approvals, inspections, and correspondence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid engineering license or certification (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards (OSHA or equivalent).
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
