 QC Inspector – MEP

Job Summary:
The QC Inspector – MEP is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works according to project specifications, drawings, standards, and client requirements. The inspector will conduct inspections, tests, and audits on-site to maintain high-quality standards and help resolve any quality-related issues during construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on MEP installations, including mechanical systems, electrical wiring, panels, and plumbing pipelines.
  • Verify that work complies with project specifications, contract documents, applicable codes, and standards.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements to ensure conformity.
  • Perform non-destructive testing and coordinate third-party inspections if required.
  • Identify and report defects or non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure quality issues are addressed promptly.
  • Participate in site meetings related to quality and safety.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities related to quality.
  • Support commissioning and handover processes by verifying system functionality.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a QC Inspector in MEP projects (typically 3+ years).
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, IPC, IEC, NFPA).
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and inspection tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using inspection and testing equipment.
