The QA/QC Supervisor (NDT + PWHT) is responsible for supervising and coordinating quality assurance and control activities related to Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT). This includes ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications in fabrication, welding, and heat treatment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all QA/QC activities related to NDT and PWHT on site.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality procedures and project specifications.
- Review and approve NDT procedures, reports, and PWHT cycle charts.
- Monitor and verify the qualifications of NDT technicians and PWHT operators.
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of NDT and PWHT operations.
- Liaise with third-party inspection agencies, clients, and internal departments.
- Review weld maps, isometric drawings, WPS, PQRs, and welder qualifications.
- Maintain and update all quality records related to NDT and PWHT.
- Ensure safe and compliant operation of PWHT equipment and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in quality meetings.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action for non-conformities.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certified in NDT methods (e.g., ASNT Level II or equivalent in UT, RT, MT, PT).
- Knowledge of PWHT processes and relevant codes (ASME, API, etc.).
- Minimum [X] years of experience in QA/QC supervision with NDT and PWHT scope.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, codes, and standards.
- Familiar with QA/QC documentation and traceability systems.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
