Mechanical Engineer Job Description
A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components across various industries such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, energy, and robotics. They apply principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis to innovate and improve mechanical products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems, products, and components using CAD software.
- Conduct engineering analysis and simulations (e.g., stress, thermal, fluid dynamics).
- Develop prototypes and oversee product testing to validate design performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to integrate systems.
- Evaluate design modifications, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot product issues and implement corrective solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for engineering and management teams.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Experience with FEA/CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) is a plus.

Education & Qualifications:
