The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring effective project planning, resource allocation, and progress monitoring. The role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to track project timelines, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Prepare project progress reports, dashboards, and schedules for internal and client presentations.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct critical path and earned value analysis to assess project performance.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to gather and validate schedule input.
- Identify risks, delays, and opportunities and provide recommendations to mitigate or capitalize on them.
- Assist in resource planning and forecasting.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure project integration.
- Support cost control by linking schedules with budgets and expenditures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
