Employment Information

Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. They work closely with engineers to troubleshoot issues, perform diagnostic tests, and ensure machines operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and commission mechanical systems and machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as pumps, engines, conveyors, and compressors.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Use tools and machinery such as lathes, drills, grinders, and welding equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve system performance.
  • Assist in the design and modification of mechanical components as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or associate degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance or technician role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and mechanical measuring instruments.
  • Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • HVAC Certification (if applicable)
  • Mechanical Engineering Technician (CET) designation
  • Forklift or equipment operation certification
