A Pipe Fabricator is responsible for cutting, assembling, and installing metal pipe systems used in various industrial, commercial, and marine applications. This role involves interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, selecting appropriate materials, and ensuring all fabricated components meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret piping schematics, isometric drawings, and fabrication blueprints.
• Cut, thread, bevel, and weld pipes using hand and power tools.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting or bending.
• Assemble pipe sections, supports, and related equipment following blueprints and specifications.
• Use tools such as pipe threaders, cutting torches, bending machines, and welding equipment.
• Inspect and test installed systems for leaks or other defects.
• Ensure all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, welders, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a pipe fabricator, pipefitter, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of pipefitting materials and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Proficiency in using pipe fabrication tools and equipment.
• Basic welding and mechanical skills.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and long hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications (e.g., NCCER, ASME) is a plus.
