Employment Information

The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving health, safety, and environmental policies and practices in the workplace. This role ensures compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and company standards to maintain a safe and risk-free working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide HSE training, toolbox talks, and induction programs for new employees and contractors.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
  • Maintain HSE documentation, such as incident reports, inspection logs, and training records.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate emergency response and evacuation drills.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports.
  • Assist in the development and review of HSE policies, procedures, and risk assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a similar HSE role.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international HSE laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement control measures effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting tools.
