Electrical Foreman
The Electrical Foreman oversees and coordinates the daily operations of electrical installations and maintenance on construction sites or facility projects. This role ensures that all electrical work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians and electrical helpers.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Plan and lay out work assignments based on project schedules.
- Ensure all electrical work meets local and national codes (e.g., NEC).
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wiring systems, control panels, and electrical equipment.
- Monitor material inventory and request supplies as needed.
- Maintain daily logs and reports on progress, issues, and personnel.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades on-site.
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Train and mentor junior electricians.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
- Valid electrician license or journeyman certification (as required by state/local laws).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical work, including 1–3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
