Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor
Job Summary:
The E&I Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems on a project site or facility. This role ensures all electrical and instrumentation work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with industry standards, company policies, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate E&I construction, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards and procedures.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Monitor daily work progress and allocate manpower and resources efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests of E&I systems to ensure operational reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical or instrumentation systems.
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure timely execution.
- Maintain documentation, including daily reports, checklists, and testing records.
- Assist in planning and scheduling of E&I activities to meet project deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance and training to E&I technicians and electricians.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in E&I works, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical and instrumentation systems, codes, and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC).
- Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, DCS, and field instrumentation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and P&IDs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in HSE practices is an advantage.
