Assistant Instrument Fitter:
The Assistant Instrument Fitter supports the Instrument Fitting team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control devices used in various industrial processes. This role involves working under supervision to ensure that instruments such as sensors, transmitters, gauges, and control valves are correctly fitted and functioning to meet operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and testing of instrumentation equipment.
- Support the fitting and assembly of control instruments, piping, and related components.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of instruments to ensure operational integrity.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist senior instrument fitters and technicians in troubleshooting and repairing faults.
- Record and report work progress, issues, and material usage.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Handle tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
- Understanding of mechanical fitting, welding, and electrical wiring principles is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
