AC Technician

The AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The technician ensures that all systems function efficiently and comply with safety regulations and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install new air conditioning systems, including ductwork, wiring, and controls.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system performance and longevity.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in AC units and carry out repairs.
• Replace parts such as compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats as needed.
• Recharge refrigerants and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate issues and solutions effectively.
• Maintain service records and prepare reports on maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with local HVAC codes and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or HVAC certification preferred.
• Proven experience as an AC Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment.

Preferred Certifications:

• EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification
• HVAC Technician Certification (e.g., NATE, HVAC Excellence)

Work Environment:

• On-site at residential, commercial, or industrial properties.
• May require working in tight spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
