Sales Engineer

A Sales Engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products, for which a deep understanding of the technical aspects is essential. They work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements, explain product features, and design tailored solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify technical requirements of potential customers.
  • Present and demonstrate complex technical products or services to clients.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product education, and support to customers.
  • Develop customized product solutions based on client specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations, and documentation.
  • Conduct product training and workshops for clients and internal teams.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering/development teams and customers to ensure product fit and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and competitor offerings.
  • Support post-sales activities such as installation, troubleshooting, and customer feedback.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and solutions relevant to the company’s industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Sales acumen with the ability to identify and address customer needs.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles is a plus.
