Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the production floor to ensure that manufacturing goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency are met. This role involves coordinating personnel, managing workflow, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a smooth and cost-effective production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to meet deadlines and targets.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance.
• Identify and resolve issues related to materials, equipment, or staffing.
• Maintain accurate production records and generate daily/weekly reports.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and other departments to optimize production processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of production equipment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a production supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Working knowledge of production machinery, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and manage time effectively.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced manufacturing or production setting.
• May require standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
