Job Summary:
The Industrial Electrician (Grade C) is responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. A Grade C designation typically reflects a basic to intermediate level of experience, with the employee working under direct or moderate supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation and maintenance of industrial electrical systems including motors, control panels, wiring, and lighting.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical circuits, using standard testing equipment.
- Replace faulty wiring, fuses, circuit breakers, switches, and other components.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
- Comply with company safety procedures, electrical codes, and relevant regulations.
- Support senior electricians or supervisors on complex repairs or new installations.
- Operate hand and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Respond to maintenance requests and breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Participate in training and development programs to advance technical skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of high school or technical school diploma (preferred).
- Industrial Electrician certification or trade license (as per local regulations).
- Grade C classification or equivalent (e.g., entry-level to mid-level trade qualification).
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of industrial control systems (PLCs, VFDs, sensors, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
