The HVAC Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems on-site, ensuring proper installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC equipment in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and local codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate HVAC installation activities at the project site.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and materials to ensure compliance.
- Monitor and ensure that all HVAC work is performed as per approved drawings and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve any on-site technical issues or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with other services (electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.) for smooth execution.
- Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed by the site team and subcontractors.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management.
- Assist in the preparation of BOQs, material submittals, and procurement schedules.
- Perform testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of HVAC systems.
- Support commissioning and handover processes.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and suppliers as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HVAC site supervision, preferably in construction or MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, design, and installation procedures.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and local mechanical codes.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
