Employment Information

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The technician ensures optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and completing timely repairs or installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC equipment using specialized tools and diagnostic techniques.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, building codes, and HVAC standards.
  • Respond to emergency repair calls in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other technicians to determine service requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keep up-to-date with HVAC technology and training certifications.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC certification preferred.
  • Valid HVAC license and EPA Certification (Type I, II, or Universal) required.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and tolerate extreme temperatures.
