The Catering Supervisor oversees and coordinates all aspects of catering services for events, meetings, and other functions. This role ensures high-quality food service, excellent customer experiences, and efficient operations. The supervisor manages catering staff, liaises with clients, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily catering operations, including food preparation, setup, service, and cleanup.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and delegate responsibilities to catering team members.
  • Ensure all events are delivered to client specifications, on time, and within budget.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food, beverages, and supplies as needed.
  • Train and support catering staff, providing guidance and resolving issues on-site.
  • Communicate with clients to confirm event details and handle any last-minute changes or concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide feedback to management

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in catering, hospitality, or food service management.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred
  • Preferred Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Culinary or Hospitality degree a plus).
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a catering or hospitality environment.
