The Catering Supervisor oversees and coordinates all aspects of catering services for events, meetings, and other functions. This role ensures high-quality food service, excellent customer experiences, and efficient operations. The supervisor manages catering staff, liaises with clients, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily catering operations, including food preparation, setup, service, and cleanup.
- Coordinate staff schedules and delegate responsibilities to catering team members.
- Ensure all events are delivered to client specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food, beverages, and supplies as needed.
- Train and support catering staff, providing guidance and resolving issues on-site.
- Communicate with clients to confirm event details and handle any last-minute changes or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and provide feedback to management
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in catering, hospitality, or food service management.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred
- Preferred Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Culinary or Hospitality degree a plus).
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a catering or hospitality environment.
