Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook porottas (layered flatbread) using traditional hand-rolling and flipping techniques.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and appearance of each porotta.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the preparation area.
  • Manage the dough preparation, portioning, and resting as required.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of porottas during service hours.
  • Monitor stock of ingredients (flour, oil, etc.) and inform management of replenishment needs.
  • Follow safety and food handling standards.
  • Maintain equipment used for porotta making and report any issues.
