Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
- Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and related appliances and fixtures.
- Inspect plumbing systems, identify issues, and provide cost estimates for repairs.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks using air or water pressure gauges.
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, and other professionals on job sites.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency calls for leaks, clogs, or broken pipes.
- Keep records of work performed and materials used.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program.
- Valid plumbing license (depending on jurisdiction).
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials.
