HVAC Senior Supervisor For Duct Work

The HVAC Senior Supervisor for Duct Work oversees and coordinates the installation, maintenance, and repair of duct systems within commercial, industrial, or residential HVAC projects. This role ensures ductwork is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards while managing a team of technicians and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct HVAC duct installation teams on multiple projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
• Interpret HVAC blueprints, ductwork drawings, and project plans to allocate work and provide technical guidance.
• Inspect duct systems during and after installation to ensure quality, functionality, and compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices on ductwork best practices and safety procedures.
• Monitor and enforce safety policies and regulations on the job site.
• Manage inventory of duct materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on progress, workforce, and any issues encountered.
• Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity.
• Address on-site challenges promptly and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in HVAC duct installation and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC duct systems, materials, installation techniques, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations (e.g., SMACNA standards, local building codes).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid HVAC certifications or licenses preferred.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and at heights.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and elevated areas.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
