Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Welding Operations:
   • Weld metal components based on drawings or instructions.
   • Choose appropriate welding techniques and materials.
2. Preparation & Setup:
   • Measure, cut, and prepare metal pieces before welding.
   • Set up welding machines and adjust settings for material type and thickness.
3. Quality Assurance:
   • Inspect finished welds for strength, appearance, and defects.
   • Perform rework or repairs as needed to meet quality standards.
4. Safety Compliance:
   • Wear PPE (helmet, gloves, goggles) and follow all safety protocols.
   • Ensure work area is clean, ventilated, and free of fire hazards.
5. Tool Maintenance:
   • Maintain and store welding tools and equipment properly.
   • Report or repair damaged tools or machines.
6. Collaboration:
   • Coordinate with supervisors, fabricators, and fitters.
   • Follow project timelines and adjust work based on priorities.
7. Documentation:
   • Record work completed and report material usage or defects.
