Roles and Responsibilities
- Measure, mark, and plan the layout of tiles according to design drawings and site requirements.
- Cut and shape tiles using hand tools and power tools to fit around corners, edges, and obstacles.
- Apply adhesives, mortar, or other bonding agents and lay tiles accurately with proper spacing and alignment.
- Grout joints between tiles and clean excess grout to achieve a neat finish.
- Inspect surfaces for evenness and ensure the proper leveling of tiles.
- Repair or replace broken or damaged tiles when required.
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other workers to complete tasks on time.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
