Roles and Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to plan tile layout according to design drawings.
- Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into corners using hand and power tools.
- Lay tiles in the correct position using adhesives, grout, and spacers to achieve accurate alignment.
- Mix and apply mortar or other bonding agents as required.
- Ensure tiles are properly leveled, spaced, and finished for a smooth and uniform surface.
- Fill gaps between tiles with grout, clean excess grout, and polish the finished surfaces.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
- Repair or replace damaged or broken tiles.
- Follow safety standards and maintain cleanliness at the work site.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other tradespeople as needed.
