Responsibility:
Clean and level surfaces (floors, walls, etc.) before laying tiles. May include applying waterproofing layers.
- Remove old flooring or wall coverings if needed.
- Clean the substrate to remove dust, oil, and debris.
- Ensure the surface is smooth, level, and ready for adhesive.
- Apply primer or waterproofing (especially in bathrooms, kitchens, or wet areas).
- Use tools like levelling compounds or cement screed to correct uneven surfaces.
