Store Keeper – Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Receiving Materials:
    • Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or invoices.
    • Check for quantity, quality, and condition of materials received.
  2. Storing Goods:
    • Organize and store items in designated locations.
    • Ensure proper labeling and storage based on item type and safety requirements.
  3. Issuing Inventory:
    • Issue materials and supplies to departments or personnel as per requests.
    • Maintain accurate records of items issued and returned.
  4. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
    • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  5. Record Keeping:
    • Maintain up-to-date records of inventory movements, receipts, and issues.
    • Use inventory software or manual logs to track stock accurately.
  6. Safety and Cleanliness:
    • Ensure store area is clean, well-organized, and safe.
    • Follow safety procedures for storing hazardous or sensitive items.
  7. Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit regular inventory and usage reports to supervisors or management.
    • Highlight low stock, damaged items, or discrepancies.
  8. Coordination:
    • Coordinate with the procurement team for stock replenishment.
    • Communicate with various departments to understand material requirements.
  9. Compliance:
    • Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in inventory handling.
    • Ensure materials are stored in compliance with legal and industry guidelines.
