Roles and Responsibilities of a Shuttering Carpenter:
✅ Read and interpret construction drawings and formwork plans.
✅ Measure, cut, and assemble formwork using wood, plywood, or metal materials.
✅ Install shuttering for concrete structures such as columns, beams, slabs, and foundations.
✅ Ensure formwork is properly aligned, levelled, and securely braced to withstand the pressure of poured concrete.
✅ Apply release agents to prevent concrete from sticking to the formwork.
✅ Dismantle and remove formwork once the concrete has set and cured.
✅ Inspect and repair reused formwork materials as needed.
✅ Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
✅ Coordinate with site engineers and other trades to ensure timely completion of tasks.
