Roles and Responsibilities of Marine Electrician

✅ Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and equipment on marine vessels.
✅ Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
✅ Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on electrical and electronic systems.
✅ Maintain and repair generators, motors, batteries, switchboards, lighting, and navigation systems.
✅ Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety standards and marine regulations.
✅ Test electrical equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning and safety.
✅ Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment failure.
✅ Collaborate with engineers, ship officers, and other technical staff during repairs and upgrades.
✅ Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
✅ Adhere to onboard safety procedures and use appropriate PPE while working.
