Roles and Responsibilities of Linesman

✅ Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electrical power lines and cables.
✅ Climb poles or towers and work at heights using safety harnesses and equipment.
✅ Inspect power lines and related equipment for damage, wear, or defects.
✅ Replace or repair faulty wires, insulators, transformers, and other components.
✅ Assist in erecting poles, stringing wires, and setting up electrical infrastructure.
✅ Follow electrical diagrams, blueprints, and safety codes during installations and repairs.
✅ Respond to power outages and emergency repairs to restore service promptly.
✅ Operate tools, equipment, and machinery used in line work, such as bucket trucks and winches.
✅ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards while working near high-voltage power.
✅ Keep accurate records of work performed and report any hazards or issues to supervisors.
