Design & Estimation Engineer (Switch Gear)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design low and medium voltage switchgear systems as per client and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software.
• Analyze tender documents and project requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and equipment for switchgear solutions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify requirements and provide technical support.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and safety regulations in all designs.
• Optimize designs for functionality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Assist in preparing bills of materials (BOM) and technical submittals.
• Support procurement and production teams during project execution.
• Update and maintain estimation records and design documentation for future reference.
