Crawler Crane Operator

1. Equipment Operation

• Operate crawler cranes to lift, move, position, or place machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Control crane movements precisely using levers, pedals, and dials.
• Follow load charts and crane capacity limits to ensure safe operations.

2. Safety and Compliance

• Conduct pre-operation safety checks and routine maintenance of crane equipment.
• Ensure all lifting activities comply with site safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Follow rigging and lifting plans; coordinate with riggers and signalmen.

3. Inspection and Maintenance

• Inspect crane for mechanical issues (hydraulics, boom, track system).
• Report defects and arrange for necessary repairs.
• Ensure the crane is set up and dismantled properly.

4. Communication

• Collaborate with site supervisors, riggers, and engineers.
• Use radios, hand signals, or verbal instructions during crane operations.
• Understand and execute lift plans and safety protocols.

5. Documentation

• Maintain daily logs of operations, inspections, and maintenance.
• Document lifting operations and any incidents.
